A moment to reflect

There are times when you feel so
alone, you are hoping for someone who would be beside you, when drained of
faith or confused on who to believe in. Then, you resort to a wrong decision,
to heal your problems by the use of drugs.
Every now and then, we hear the word "drugs”
and what are these drugs really? Drugs
are any chemicals that affect the way our body works. Alcohol, caffeine, aspirin and nicotine are
just some. Using drugs excessively subsequently
results to drug addiction, a complex brain disease. It is characterized by compulsive and
uncontrollable drug craving and drug seeking that persists even in the face of
extremely negative consequences.
Some people use drugs without even
experiencing negative consequences. For
many others, taking substance can cause problems at work, school, home and even
relationships that trigger one to feel isolated, helpless and isolated. People experiment drugs for many different
reasons like because of curiosity, a solution to a problem, relief from stress
or depression, influence of friends or peer pressure, result of child abuse or
painful childhood experience and early use of unprohibited drugs. Abuse of drugs can also lead to brain
malfunction, nausea, vomiting, respiratory arrest, nervous damage and death.
This situation may vanish with the
help of personal advocacy solution. It
is always good to believe that there is still a chance to have a "drug – free
world”. There is always a room for
change for personal betterment far from the claws of drugs.
Love
yourself to the fullest. Remember our
body is the temple of God.
